This initiative offers expertly designed training that addresses the unique challenges women face in the business world. By providing essential resources, practical skills, and unwavering support, Diva helps women entrepreneurs not only to start but also to excel in their entrepreneurial ventures. The program equips participants with the confidence, knowledge, and skills needed to overcome obstacles, grow their businesses, and make a meaningful impact in their communities. Understanding the importance of continuously acknowledging, safeguarding, and supporting these invaluable contributions by women, āDIVA Daathata Diriyakā Entrepreneurial Skills Development Programme has successfully completed the program in 5 provinces in the island including Northwestern, Northern, Southern, Uva, and Central provinces, empowering over 275 women entrepreneurs island-wide. āDIVA Daathata Diriyakā Entrepreneurial Skills Development Programme stands as a pillar of inspiration and empowerment, encouraging women to embrace the future with their natural strengths and talents, by providing them with the tools they need to navigate the realm of business prospects.
In celebration of the World Entrepreneurs Day falling on 21st August, a One Day Seminar of Diva Dathata Diriyak Program was conducted by Dr. Sulochana Sigera, Chairman of WIM, at the Matale Divisional Secretariat, with the participation of over 100 Women Entrepreneurs in Central Province. Followed by the seminar, a two-day workshop was conducted to provide practical experience on entrepreneurial skills to further enhance the experience of women entrepreneurs. This is a part of the ongoing, highly successful series of Diva Dathata Diriyak programmes aimed at equipping women with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to thrive in the extremely challenging entrepreneurial world.
